By VETTAPHARMA reporter – Derek Roche: Gilead Sciences and Kite presented new oncology data at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and European Hematology Association (EHA) meetings, highlighting continued progress across antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and cell therapies in hematologic and solid tumors.
The presentations included updates for Trodelvy (sacituzumab govitecan) across multiple tumor types, including metastatic breast cancer and lung cancer, reinforcing the company’s strategy of expanding ADC use through earlier-line treatment settings and combination approaches.
For cell therapy, Kite highlighted data from the ZUMA clinical trial programme, including studies involving Yescarta (axicabtagene ciloleucel) in large B-cell lymphoma and other hematologic malignancies. The presentations focused on durability of response, survival outcomes, and treatment outcomes in earlier lines of therapy.
Additional ASCO and EHA abstracts included investigational programmes involving next-generation cell therapies and ADC combinations, supporting Gilead and Kite’s broader oncology strategy centered on precision therapies, targeted delivery platforms, and engineered immune cell approaches.
The breadth of data presented across ASCO and EHA reflects continued investment in both solid tumor ADC expansion and hematology-focused cell therapy leadership, particularly in areas with high unmet need and limited durable treatment options.
For patients, the new data may support broader access to targeted therapies and personalized treatment strategies, particularly in aggressive cancers where long-term disease control remains challenging.
From a commercial perspective, continued clinical momentum for Trodelvy and Yescarta, alongside expansion into additional indications and earlier treatment settings, may support future growth across Gilead’s oncology portfolio as ADCs and cell therapies continue to gain importance in cancer care.
